The successful applicant will be working towards gaining a Level 2 Facilities Services Qualification.
You will be expected to work on an individual basis but also as an integral member of the team within theatres and ITAPS Resources, Equipment, Decontamination and Sterilisation team and work accordingly to the department’s policies and procedures, up-holding Trust policy. You will also be expected to maintain a high standard of proficiency against the departments Quality performance requirements.
The post holder must be working towards progression to the post of Theatre Resources Coordinator supported by successful completion of the Assistant Practitioner programme and associated Competency Assessment Framework/s.
To work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge which
will assist the apprentice to complete their qualification and secure employment and
progress in their career in the future.
To participate in procurement, storage, decontamination and transport of equipment and
resources within the operating theatre environment, sterile services hub, endoscopy
decontamination unit and ITAPS procurement team and work accordingly to the
department’s policies and procedures, up-holding Trust policy.
