Brief Description : A back of house opportunity has arisen for an apprentice chef. Working along the close team at The Garden Shed and directly under the head chef. You will be preparing and cooking a variety of homemade dishes at this up-and-coming cafe/restaurant.
Qualifications Required : None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process
Vacancy Detail : The Garden Shed is a Boutique Cafe, restaurant and bar. Serving home cooked fresh produce in this cosy environment. Open 7 days a week serving daytimes and evenings including cocktails and tapas.
The Garden Shed are looking for an apprentice chef to work with their close team to assist in developing the site. Working under the head chef within the kitchen role to prepare and produce a range of dishes using fresh ingredients. As a team member you will be expected to uphold high standards of health and safety within the workplace. You will also be working with the team to prepare, cook, plate up and store food within this fast paced kitchen. You will will also be responsible for running some aspects of the kitchen. Alongside this you will be working to gain a Level 2 Production Chef Qualification.
Duties will include:
• Ingredient preparation
• Cooking meals through various different cooking methods
• Plating up and presentation of food
• Taking instruction from senior chefs
• Cleaning and clearing down work stations
• Working in a safe manner at all times
• Portion control
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 30 hours a week
Salary : £150.00 Per Week
