Brief Description : North Bar and Kitchen are seeking an individual who has worked in a kitchen with previous experience, a prior level 2 kitchen qualification is also desirable. If you are seeking to progress further this could be the opportunity for you.

 

Qualifications Required : As this is a progression apprenticeship role you would ideally have a level 2 kitchen qualification already.
Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.

An opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to join their kitchen team, if you are seeking to progress further then this could be the opportunity for you.

They require a Chef de Partie with a certain level of experience, exceptional standards and flair for cooking to maintain the outstanding reputation. This is a very rewarding, but hands on role and as such you would be expected to be present in the kitchen for the majority of the day ensuring the high standards are adhered to at all times.
The successful candidate will also be working towards gaining a Level 3 Chef De Partie Qualification.


You must have at least 1 years experience at this level or at a comparable Pub/Restaurant of similar standard and an overall good knowledge of seasonal fresh ingredients.

Main responsibilities:

Deliver excellent customer service, at all times
Prepare, cook and present food quickly and efficiently, meeting house standards.
Assist and have responsibility in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy, at all times.
Keep up to date with current menus, specials, upcoming promotions and new menus.
Ensure customers will be satisfied with their meals
Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the manager.
Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training
Have a flexible approach to working hours.
Ensure that the kitchen operations comply with all the company's and statutory requirements including Health and Safety at Work Act and Food Hygiene Regulations.
Be involved and contribute at team meetings.
Carry out instructions given by the management team.
Adhere to company values.

Future Prospects : Future prospects to be discussed at interview. Successful Apprentice will take an apprenticeship as follows:
The qualification will depend on prior experience, candidate will either take Commis Chef Level 2 or Chef de Partie Level 3
Training to be Provided : Chef de Partie apprenticeship Level 3
Maths and English if required
Other Information : Please do not apply if do not have a means of getting to and from work. On a Wednesday and Saturday your hours will be across split shifts therefore your own means of transport is essential if you do not live close by.
Things to consider : Hours will be 40-45. Weekly wage shown based in Minimum apprentice wage for 40 hours, to be discussed further based on prior knowledge/experience
Weds-Sund (closed Mon/Tues) Earliest Start 9.30am/Latest finish 10.30pm inc 2 split shifts
