Vacancy Detail : Leatherhead Trinity School are a two-form entry primary school who endeavour to deliver the highest quality education for children from Nursery (beginning with 2 year olds) to Year 6 (11 year olds). Their Children’s Centre offers universal, and targeted, services for families of children from birth to 19 years old. Therefore, they pride themselves in their community integrations.
An opportunity for an apprentice to join Leatherhead Trinity School and Children's Centre, working alongside the Premises Manager to ensure that the school and children’s centre site and other facilities meet health & safety standards and are maintained to the highest possible standard. This will be alongside working towards gaining a Level 2 Qualification
They are looking for a friendly and reliable person with a proactive approach and a 'can do' attitude who can help them maintain and develop their lovely modern premises to a high standard.
Working alongside the Premises Manager, the role will involve ensuring that the school and children’s centre site and other facilities meet Health & Safety standards and are maintained to the highest possible standard. The Premises team are responsible for ensuring the school environment is welcoming, clean, well maintained, safe and secure at all times.
Previous experience of small DIY jobs and repairs and any previous experience or knowledge of basic building repair and maintenance would be advantageous.
Duties to include:
- Setting up lunch tables and clearing away
- Basic DIY tasks
- Litter picking
- Assisting the Premises Manager with booking in and coordinating contractors
- Assisting the Premises Manager with Health & Safety such as updating risk assessments
- Assisting the Premises Manager with the arrangement and coordination of data disposal
- Assisting the Premises Manager with fire alarm testing and lockdown procedure
- Assisting the Premises Manager with water/legionella testing
- Assisting the Business Manager with asset management

Salary : £252.00 Per Week

Things to consider : Working Week including total hours worked per week – 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Things to Consider – Up until the end of August this year, the Children’s Centre is on a separate site about a mile down the road. Transport between the two locations via car or bike would be beneficial.
