Brief Description : This is an excellent opportunity to join a small brigade of chefs producing quality fresh food for the Restaurant, Bar, Room Service and Banqueting areas at The Abbey Hotel, which cater for 2 – 200 guests.
Qualifications Required : No previous qualifications required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process

Duties to include -
To assist in the preparation of mis-en-place for allocated work area.
To assist in the preparation of food.
Cooking and presentation of food to the Company standard for our Restaurant Bar/Lounge
Meetings & events rooms, room service
To adhere to all relevant security, fire, health and safety and food safety legislation and procedures.

Personal Qualities : As an Apprentice chef you will ideally have a basic knowledge of kitchen fundamentals and have a real interest in a career with a love of food in mind. You must be extremely hard working and flexible in the hours you can work and be willing to study hard to achieve your goals.
Skills Required : Good Communication skills
Future Prospects : Full time role
Training to be Provided : Commis Chef apprenticeship Level 2
Maths and English if required
Other Information : The wage would be between £3.70 and £7.50 per hour age and experience dependant.
Things to consider : You will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of this role.
40 hours will include shift patterns/weekends/bank holidays. 8.5 hours a day with a 30 min break
