Brief Description : HF Holidays are looking to recruitment an Apprentice Commis Chef at their stunningly located Newfield Hall Hotel, as an Apprentice Chef you will need to demonstrate drive, a passion for fresh food and enthusiasm as you are trained on all areas of the menu.

 

Qualifications Required : An employer will determine their own entry requirements for an employee to commence this apprenticeship, but these general entry requirements apply; you have to be aged 16 years or over and must be working in the hospitality and catering sector for at least 30 hours a week. You also need to be a resident in England and not taking part in full-time education.

An opportunity for an enthusiastic and career minded apprentice chef has arisen at HF Holidays. The purpose of the role is to provide an exceptional service to all of our guests.
Newfield Hall is a grand 19th century country house built in 1856 and set in extensive grounds with magnificent views of the Yorkshire Dales. One of our largest country houses, Newfield Hall has 48 bedrooms offering our guests full board, so you will be part of a team cooking breakfast, lunch and evening meals.
Your responsibilities will include:

Producing food and levels of service that wow our guests.
Presenting and delivering our food offering in line with company standards.
Producing the food offer in line with budget requirements.
Complying with all health and safety and food safety regulations, process and procedures.
Preparing and helping with service of breakfast.
Preparing sweet courses and all garnishes for courses.
Engaging with guests in a way that promotes a warm and friendly atmosphere within the house.
Working as part of the catering team supporting each other to deliver a great service.
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 39 hours - will include evenings/weekends.
Salary : £305.37 Per Week

Other Information : To be successful you will need to demonstrate an understanding of our values, an enthusiasm for providing great food in a fast-paced environment, creativity, initiative and a positive attitude to team work. Full training will be given.
Live-in Accommodation is available(subject to Manager's discretion) at the Hotel for applicants aged 18 years and over.
HF Holidays pay the National Minimum wage per age group not the Apprenticeship wage of £3.70 per hour.
Things to consider : Applicants must be able to work a variety of shifts and be able to commute to and from the location.
