Job Description – Sales Assistant
Duties to include:

Your duties will be to assist your Manager and Assistant Manager with the day to day running of the Ice Cream Parlour.
You will aim to have good communications between, customers, staff and management.
You will assist on all aspects of counter service, including serving ice creams, making beverages and keeping the counter to a high standard as per training.
You will assist on all aspects of keeping the customer area to a high standard of cleanliness, including clearing and cleaning tables, wiping spillages up and making sure the customer area is to the standard shown in training.
Assist in helping with the party room, including all aspects of the parties, from preparation, holding and cleaning up, to the standard shown.
Assist with all cleaning as per the Gallone’s Ice Cream Parlour Cleaning schedule. This will include daily, weekly and bi-weekly cleaning operations.
Assist your fellow colleagues with a high standard of service to both staff and customers and preparation for the shift following yours.
Be forthcoming and not shy with suggestions to help improve standards or to promote the Parlour locally.
Follow all rules and procedures set out in your staff manual.

Working Week : 30 hours per week
Salary : £126.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : Bubbly personality.
Presentable as serving the public and representing our company.
Good hygiene. The parlour needs to be kept clean.
Active. This is a hands on job.
Competent around children.
Reliable and keen
Skills Required : Ability to communicate and take instructions
Able to work under pressure
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Future Prospects : Progression within the industry
Training to be Provided : Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship
Maths and English if required
Other Information : The successful candidate will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, we open 7 days per week and your weekly shifts will be on a rota system which can include weekends. Latest finish at end of day is 6.30pm and we open at 9am
Wages will be age dependant.
Things to consider : We have 3 parlours and are opening a further parlour this year.
