Brief Description : The Swan Inn have a fantastic opportunity for a keen apprentice to join their busy kitchen team.
Qualifications Required : Desirable but not essential to have GCSE or equivalent English and Maths, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.
Vacancy Detail : The Swan Inn is a country pub in a rural setting , only ten minutes from the centre of Bath. The have a reputation for serving home cooked, satisfying and beautifully presented food.
They have a fantastic opportunity for a keen apprentice to join their busy kitchen team.
The successful applicant will learn the trade whilst working alongside the 3 full time chefs and be working towards gaining a Level 2 Commis Chef qualification.
Duties will include:
• Ingredient preparation
• Cooking meals through various different cooking methods
• Plating up and presentation of food
• Taking instruction from senior chefs
• Cleaning and clearing down work stations
• Working in a safe manner at all times
• Portion control
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 40 hour week over 5 days/week.
Salary : £165.00 Per Week

Future Prospects : Pending successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will be offered, if they choose, a full-time position in one of our sites.
Training to be Provided : Commis Chef apprenticeship level 2
Maths and English if required
Things to consider : The kitchen can be very warm, particularly in summer. Long shifts can be required during these busy periods. Candidate will be on their feet all day.
40 hour week over 5 days/week. Occasional extra hours required over busy periods
